ōm śri mātrē namaḥ
Rāja-Syāmala has a dark emerald complexion and a crescent moon on her forehead. She plays the veena, wears conch-shell earrings and flower garlands, and has flower paintings adorning her forehead. She is also depicted wearing a garland of white lotus. Amma is the Mantrini, ākarshana sakti, of Sri Lalita Devi. She governs speech, music, knowledge, and the arts. Without Amma’s grace, one cannot do Lalita Upāsana. Amma is the power behind the spoken word and the Sakti of the Vedas. The worship of Amma leads us to realization. It is with Amma’s grace that we will be able to learn anything.
